Mark James Blog

It's been over two years since I wrote a review of Blaine Pardoe's Blue Dawn. My apologies to Mr. Pardoe for taking so long to get around to reading book 2 in the Blue Dawn series, A Most Uncivil War. It was on my reading list, but in preparation for my own follow up to a book, Friendship Games...

If you follow my social media posts or read my blog, even if on occasion, then you know that I am a sucker for aliens: UFOs, UAPs, and the Big Question of "Are We Alone?"

I remember in 2016 that Hillary Clinton was expected to win in more or less a landslide against Donald Trump, at least by most of the national media. I wasn't entirely convinced; the energy and excitement on the ground seemed to be with Donald Trump. I saw far more yard signs, bumper stickers, and flags for Trump than for Hillary....

This is one I don't recommend. Anthony Kiedis is a lifelong jackass. And a privileged one at that. Abusive of women, friends, his bandmates and, of course, drugs. I read all the way through hoping for a redeemable quality or epiphany.

I vividly remember the flag of the USSR coming down at midnight on Christmas night in Moscow, in 1991, and the tricolor flag of Russia rising in its place.

We are charting a new course. Welcome to my new blog. My old site, markjamesauthor.com, now directs here — to North Arrow Press, which will host updates, reviews, and the occasional reflection as I continue the journey as an author. I'll be sure to back-fill this new blog with salient posts like previous book reviews.
